
This role is available to Federal Firearms License (FFL) holders in good standing, including brick-and-mortar firearm retailers, shooting ranges, gunsmiths, and other ATF-compliant firearm businesses. Licensed Intake Centers are authorized to directly receive firearms in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.
This role is available to municipal, county, state, or federal law enforcement agencies, including sheriff’s offices and police departments, as well as other government entities legally authorized to possess firearms. These partners participate under their existing statutory authority and departmental policies.
Approved Referral Locations may be either FFL or non-FFL entities, including law enforcement agencies, that do not directly process firearms but wish to participate by serving as a trusted point of contact. Guns 4 Good provides materials that guide individuals seeking to donate or surrender firearms toward a safe, lawful transfer through Guns 4 Good staff or a certified intake center.
